What is the best time of year to cycle in Mallorca?
March–May and October–November are the golden windows — mild temperatures, less traffic and generally stable weather. Summers are hot with occasional strong winds on the exposed northwest coast. Winter riding is possible but wet periods are more common. Check RouteWeather for hourly conditions.
How does wind affect cycling in Mallorca?
The Tramuntana acts as a wind barrier — the northwest coast gets the full force of northerly winds while the sheltered east can be calm. On crossings of the Serra de Tramuntana the wind can change direction and intensity several times. Seeing wind-per-segment helps you plan the climb and descent.
