Why Weather Matters on a Climb
Conditions at the base of a climb can be very different from those at the summit. Temperature drops roughly 6°C for every 1,000m of elevation gained, and exposed ridgelines often have stronger winds than the valley below.
Our route-based forecasts account for this by calculating conditions at each point along the climb profile, so you know exactly what to expect all the way to the top — not just at a single weather station.
