Why Weather Matters on a Climb
Conditions at the base of a climb can be very different from those at the summit. Temperature drops roughly 6°C for every 1,000m of elevation gained, and exposed ridgelines often have stronger winds than the valley below.
Our route-based forecasts account for this by calculating conditions at each point along the climb profile, so you know exactly what to expect all the way to the top — not just at a single weather station.
- Summit temperature during your estimated arrival time
- Wind direction and speed at exposed sections
- Precipitation forecasts timed to your ride
- Hourly breakdown for flexible departure planning
