The Troodos mountain range rises to nearly 2000m in the centre of the island, offering proper climbs on quiet roads — far less traffic than mainland Mediterranean rivals. The climate is exceptional: virtually no rain from May through October, mild winters on the coast, and cool summers in the mountains.
